Question

With reference to the department stating that seatbelts halve the risk of dying or being seriously injured in a crash— Will the Minister (a) provide the rationale, including supporting data, for seatbelt wearing being the responsibility of the driver rather than passengers for vehicles in Queensland and (b) advise if the department is reviewing these rules given a magistrate has overturned a recent fine in relation to this matter?
