QUESTION Will the Minister advise as at 1 March 2026, the total size of the BreastScreen Queensland workforce as per MOHRI, including (a) total headcount and (b) FTE (reported separately by occupation)? ANSWER The Member would be pleased to hear that the Crisafulli Government is investing more than $66 million in 2025-26 for the early detection of breast cancer in Queensland women. In January 2025, the Crisafulli Government launched the BreastScreen Queensland Strategic Plan 2025-2032, which is aimed at improving screening rates to reduce the burden of breast cancer across Queensland. In launching the Strategic Plan in Townsville, I was pleased to also unveil the new $1 million mobile screening van which will give regional and remote communities easier access to screening services. I am advised that as at 1 March 2026 the current breast screening workforce comprises 283.75 FTE (reported as MOHRI occupied FTE) or 427 total headcount: • 20.38 FTE Medical Inc VMOs staff (62 Headcount) • 48.38 FTE Nursing and Midwifery staff (71 Headcount) • 99.93 FTE Professional and technical staff (140 Headcount) • 114.25 FTE Managerial and Clerical staff (152 Headcount) • 0.81 FTE Operational staff (2 Headcount).
