Question

With reference to ongoing conflict in the Middle East and its potential impact on global fuel supply chains and fuel security, concerns about Queensland’s reliance on imported fuels, and moves by many jurisdictions globally to increase ethanol fuel blend mandates— Will the Treasurer advise (a) why the government has not moved to legislate and enforce a minimum 10 percent ethanol mandate in Queensland and (b) whether the government will immediately commit to implementing and actively enforcing a minimum 10 percent mandate to strengthen future fuel security and support local industry?
