Question

With reference to the community having raised significant safety concerns regarding the interim traffic layout at the intersection of Helensvale Road and the newly opened Coomera Connector on the northern Gold Coast, including frequent sudden lane changes, near misses, aggressive braking and acceleration, and confusion creating an ongoing crash risk— Will the Minister advise (a) what road safety audits, traffic safety assessments or risk assessments were undertaken before the interim traffic layout went live, (b) on what date(s) were those audits or assessments completed, and what risks to road safety did they identify, (c) if any risks were identified, what measures were recommended to improve safety, and which were implemented prior to opening the intersection, and (d) if the Minister will commit to publicly releasing the relevant audits or assessments to provide transparency to the local community?
