With reference to the former Labor Government’s amendment of the Economic Development Act 2012 in March 2024 to strengthen Economic Development Queensland’s (EDQ) remit to deliver more housing, including social and affordable housing and expand the main purpose of the Act to include ‘the provision of diverse housing, including, for example, social housing and affordable housing’— Will the Deputy Premier advise how the removal of social, affordable and diverse housing requirements from PDA development schemes is consistent with the Act’s purpose to provide diverse, social and affordable housing?
