Question

With reference to the upcoming bushfire season and concerns raised by residents in The Gap about bushfire risks, and challenges arising from possible evacuations due to the 17,000 residents being almost entirely surrounded by bush, with just one arterial road out— Will the Minister advise (a) if the Queensland Fire Department (QFD) has undertaken any modelling or calculations on the projected length of time it would take to fully evacuate the suburb of The Gap for a significant bushfire event, (b) if the QFD has undertaken this modelling or calculation, what is the projected length of time and (c) how is the QFD engaging with my community of The Gap to undertake preparedness activities including evacuation briefings and measures
