QUESTION Will the Minister advise when The Prince Charles Hospital will be resourced with a Homelessness Health Outreach Team (HHOT) to address health concerns for Queensland’s most vulnerable population? ANSWER The Department of Health continues to undertake service planning and work with Hospital and Health Services to identify priority areas to assist in responding to people who are homeless and require specialist mental health alcohol and other drug treatment, including for HHOT services. I note that the former government failed to increase funding for HHOT for several years, from 2015-16 to 2023-24.
