With reference to concerns having been raised with me regarding state-level implementation and integration of the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) leading to the growing incidence of stock theft in Queensland— Will the Minister advise whether the government will review the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) ear tag requirements to ensure a more permanent and tamper- resistant form of identification, such as mandatory branding or earmarking is enforced for cattle movement and ownership verification to improve theft prevention and traceability in the State?
