Question

With reference to BHP’s announcement of the potential closure of Queensland mine sites— Will the Minister advise (a) whether any modelling has been completed by the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Rural and Regional Development regarding the potential economic impact of these closures and job losses for regional communities and (b) what consultation has been done with BHP and other related stakeholders to mitigate these concerns?
