Changes to one-to-one special shifts for at-risk patients

Question

QUESTION Will the Minister advise (a) if any changes have been made to the approval process for one-to-one special shifts for at-risk patients, and if so (b) what changes have been made and (c) in which Hospital and Health Services have these changes been made? ANSWER I am aware that Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service have implemented an approval process that utilises a case-by-case approach to identify the most clinically appropriate workforce model to meet the specific patient’s care needs. Where additional care has been required, this has been provided. To obtain the remainder of the information sought would involve requesting the provision of data that is not routinely collected or in an easily retrievable format from each Hospital and Health Service, individual hospitals and other health facilities. As such, the collection of this data would require an unreasonable diversion of resources.
