Question

With reference to concerns raised about households in my electorate in regional Queensland being charged exorbitant fees by Ergon Energy, for example works being charged at an equivalent to $1,874 per hour for a meter exchange and phase reduction in Wongaling Beach— Will the Treasurer (a) undertake a full review of Ergon Energy’s pricing structure, with justification for rates charged, (b) provide transparent disclosure of how ‘service and safety’ fees are calculated, (c) develop incentive structures that reward households investing in renewable energy solutions and (d) implement urgent regulatory interventions to ensure fairness for regional and remote consumers?
