Redcliffe Police Facility Upgrade

Question

With reference to the Redcliffe Police Facility Upgrade— Will the Minister advise since 1 November 2024 (a) if the QPS investigated whether another location would be more suitable, and if so, what were the QPS’ findings, (b) if the QPS provided advice to the Minister or the Minister’s Office about the fitness of the current site for redevelopment, and if so, what was that advice and (c) if the QPS provided advice to the Minister or the Minister’s Office that the current funding envelope is insufficient to deliver the required facilities needed for front line police in Redcliffe, and if so, what was that advice (d) if yes to (c), what capabilities have been excluded from the scoping work for this facility, to build it within the provided envelope and (e) if any funding has been diverted from other required police facilities such as the Cunnamulla, Winton, Longreach or Bundaberg facilities, to progress this upgrade, rather than sourcing newly appropriated funding for the QPS?
