Question

With reference to the feral pig population being widely estimated to be in excess of 25m in Australia, with a large proportion in Queensland, particularly in state and national parks, and considering the destruction feral pigs and other pests cause to the agricultural industry— Will the Minister advise if the government will move to introduce legislation to allow licensed hunting on state and national parks, similar to the New South Wales R-Licence system which has been operating successfully since 2006?
