Question

With reference to the establishment of an independent Police Integrity Unit, as recommended by the Independent Commission of Inquiry into Queensland Police Service responses to domestic and family violence— Will the Minister advise (a) who is leading the implementation of this recommendation, (b) what is the timeline for implementation and (c) is any model other than the one proposed in the Report - i.e. the investigation of all complaints against police by a civilian (non-police) integrity body - being considered or developed?
