Question

With reference to the University of Queensland’s (UQ) commissioning by the former government to conduct analysis and consultation on a short-term rental registration scheme – separate from UQ’s June 2023 Report ‘A Review of the Impacts of Short- Term Rental Accommodation in Queensland’— Will the Minister advise (a) whether this analysis and consultation has been completed, (b) if it has been completed, (i) the date it was finalised, (ii) the date the Department of Housing and Public Works and the Minister received the final report, (iii) when the report will be publicly released and (c) will the government proceed with a short-term rental registration scheme, and if so (i) the expected timeframe for its introduction and (ii) the model or framework the scheme is likely to adopt?
