Question

With reference to the use of hand held scanners to conduct random searches, without a warrant— Will the Minister advise for each month since the introduction of hand held scanner authorisations (a) the total number of searches carried out, (b) the percentage of people searched who were (i) under 18, (ii) Indigenous, (iii) unhoused, or (iv) culturally or linguistically diverse, (c) the total number of searches that led to drug related charges, (d) the total number of searches that led to weapons related charges, (e) the total number of searches that led to successful prosecution for weapons related offences and (f) any additional data being collected in relation to each random search conducted with hand held scanners?
