Question

QUESTION Will the Minister advise (a) the number of job applications received by Queensland Health between 1 November 2024 and 1 February 2025 (inclusive), (b) how many of these applicants met the eligibility criteria under the Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme, (c) the number of applications that were withdrawn by the applicant and (d) how many official offers of employment with a start date after 1 February 2025 were rejected by the applicant? ANSWER The Crisafulli Government has allocated $74.1 million toward honouring the obligations under the Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (WAIS). This is an increase on the $40 million that the former government announced for the WAIS. I am advised that between 1 November 2024 and 1 February 2025 (inclusive), Queensland Health received a total of 153,214 job applications. Of these, 8,162 met the eligibility criteria under the WAIS. 647 applications were withdrawn during this period. I am also advised that the systems used by Queensland Health do not capture the number of official offers with a start date after 1 February 2025 that were rejected by an applicant. Therefore, providing this information is a manual process and it would be an unreasonable diversion of resources to collate this information.
