QUESTION With reference to the Queensland Virtual Emergency Care Service— Will the Minister advise (a) the number of presentations to the service, (b) the average wait time and (c) the number of patients referred for admission to an emergency department or other in-person health facility from July 2024 to January 2025 (in table format, reported separately by month)? ANSWER a) Table 1: Virtual Emergency Care Service (VECS) count of presentations 2582 (July 2024); 2637 (August 2024); 2174 (September 2024); 2181 (October 2024); 2213 (November 2024); 3691 (December 2024); 3456 (January 2025) b) I am advised that average wait time is not a recognised reporting measure. c) Table 2: VECS admission or referral to physical ED 248 (July 2024); 261 (August 2024); 183 (September 2024); 161 (October 2024); 173 (November 2024); 210 (December 2024); 166 (January 2025)
