Question

With reference to Homes for Queenslanders, the former Labor Government’s commitment to consult on the introduction of a rental sector code of conduct, and amendment of the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 in June 2024 to enable a code of conduct to be prescribed by regulation— Will the Minister advise (a) whether the Crisafulli Government will prescribe a rental sector code of conduct by regulation, (b) if yes, the expected month and year of commencement, and the matters to be addressed by the code (including, but not limited to, maintenance and repairs, skill, care and diligence, harassment and unconscionable conduct, false or misleading representations, professionalism, honesty and integrity, and confidentiality and privacy) and (c) if no, why the Government has not proceeded with the introduction of a rental sector code of conduct?
