Question

With reference to climate and weather events impacting home insurance coverage options, and reports that premiums have increased on average 51 per cent in the past five years leading to uninsured homes— Will the Minister advise (a) what steps the government has taken to advocate to the federal government and national agencies on behalf of impacted Queenslanders, (b) what outcomes have resulted, (c) what initiatives are currently being undertaken at state level to address this growing issue and (d) whether the government is considering the re-establishment of a state insurance office to alleviate pressures?
