With reference to the Government’s commitment to help ease cost-of-living pressures— Will the Minister advise (a) why registration charges for cars, trailers and boat trailers increased by amounts that appear to significantly exceed the Government's stated 3.4 percent indexation rate, (b) what justification is there for current registration charges on trailers and boat trailers, given they are not self- propelled vehicles and generally do not require separate CTP insurance when towed by a Queensland- registered vehicle, (c) how much revenue did the Queensland Government receive from trailer and boat trailer registration fees in 2025–26 and (d) if the government will reduce registration charges for trailers and boat trailers, and if not, why not?
