With reference to the September 2026 Better Buses Build procurement announcement of up to 630 new diesel buses, the Transport Sector Emissions Reduction Plan due by 30 September 2026, and the government’s current Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Strategy which provides that every new TransLink- funded bus added to the fleet to be a zero-emission bus from 2025 in South East Queensland, and from 2025-2030 across regional Queensland— Will the Minister advise (a) how does the September 2026 Better Buses Build procurement announcement align with the ZEV Strategy, (b) what environmental and emissions assessments were undertaken to support the Better Buses Build procurement decision and (c) what pathways now exist for achieving a zero-emission public bus fleet in Queensland by 2030?
