With reference to a Mount Isa pensioner who has to stay in Townsville for 14 days recovering from surgery and cannot afford the gap between accommodation costs and the $70 per night patient travel subsidy payment on his fixed income— Will the Minister advise what assistance is available for this patient in order to receive access to medical services in Townsville?
